Retirement reception for Eric Atkinson is May 23
The Kansas State University community is invited to a May 23 retirement reception honoring Eric Atkinson, professor, radio specialist and agriculture director of the K-State Radio Network. The reception will be from 3:30 -5 p.m., Monday, May 23, in 137 Waters Hall. Remarks will be at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Since 1983, Atkinson has produced “Agriculture Today” each weekday. The program features information from agricultural scientists and specialists and is broadcast throughout most of Kansas and parts of Oklahoma, Colorado and Nebraska, as well as streamed online. Eric also produces weekly audio features covering agriculture, horticulture and wildlife management.
Atkinson earned both his bachelor's in broadcasting and his master's in journalism and public relations from Kansas State University.
