K-State evaluates updates to federal orders related to COVID-19

Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing

Kansas State University is evaluating the recently announced updates to several federal orders related to COVID-19 and is determining how they apply to the university. The university will communicate any policy changes or details as they become available.

On Nov. 4, the federal government announced important updates to two major vaccination policies. These updates affect the federal order that requires the COVID-19 vaccine for federal contractors and lay out requirements for employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's jurisdiction.

As always, the health and safety of our faculty, staff and students remain our top priority. K-State encourages all employees to get vaccinated as soon as possible because it can take several weeks to become fully vaccinated.

In the meantime, K-State continues to work through the details of these federal updates and the university will communicate more next week through K-State Today and the K-State COVID-19 website
