Ahearn Complex emergency light test

Submitted by James Seymour

The Ahearn Complex annual 90-minute emergency light testing will take place from 4-7 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 15. Note that this will be for all three parts of Ahearn, including the field house, gymnasium and Natatorium.

The test will consist of turning off breakers for circuits identified as providing power to emergency lighting fixtures. The entire building will not lose power, only specific circuits will be affected. Any electrical devices on these circuits will lose power during the test. This test is scheduled during off-hours to minimize disruption for building users. Normal power should be restored no later than 7 a.m.
