Submitted by Robby

Robby, associate professor of computing and information sciences, co-chaired workshops affiliated with the 26th International Conference on Automated Software Engineering in Lawrence on Nov. 12. The conference -- sponsored by both IEEE and the Association for Computing Machinery, is one of the top software engineering conferences in the world.

John Hatcliff, university distinguished professor of computing and information sciences, and Patrice Chalin, associate professor of computing and information sciences, along with researchers from University of Pennsylvania, organized one of the workshops on infrastructure, tools and technologies for systems of medical devices.

The other conference affiliated workshops were: on Java PathFinder -- organized by NASA Ames and Stellenbosch University (South Africa) researchers, and on machine learning technologies in software engineering -- organized by Imperial College London (UK) and West Virginia University researchers.
