K-State Choirs to present In-A-Chord Spring Concert

K-State's premier a cappella group, In-A-Chord, will perform live for the first time since fall 2019. In-A-Chord will have two concerts on May 7 at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The concert will feature the music of various artists, including Dolly Parton, Sara Bareilles, Demi Lovato and more. In accordance with the university's COVID-19 guidelines, concert attendance will be limited to 40 audience members per show. All attendees will be required to wear a mask and practice physical distancing.

Since its first performance in 1865, the K-State Choral Music Division has provided Manhattan residents with a wide variety of choral music and quality entertainment. The division is led by Joshua Oppenheim and Julie Yu, co-directors of choral studies. K- State Choirs currently has seven ensembles that range in size and style. Since 1966, the choirs have been selected 35 times to perform at state, regional and national conferences of the American Choral Directors Association, National Association for Music Education, and the National Collegiate Choral Organization.
