Date night to help K-State students on Friday, April 2

Submitted by Jeff Ward

The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, in partnership with Coco Bolos, is offering a dinner and a show on Friday, April 2. Make it a date night and treat yourself while supporting K-State students. Order your dinner now.

The school is hosting its annual Music Program Honors Recital — Virtual Edition beginning at 7:30 p.m. The online event is the final round of this competition. After the performance, the accomplishments of MTD music students will be recognized through a scholarship and awards presentation.

Coco Bolos has created a unique MTD dinner that you won't find on its menus, and they will donate 15% of the proceeds from each meal back to the school. Enjoy this one-time-only meal while you watch the show online.

Steak and chicken asada dinner
Includes stead and chicken with asada sauce served over a bed of coconut rice and black beans. Served with a tortilla and side salad — dressing on the side.

Each meal costs $19.50 — tax included — and can be pre-ordered online through March 30. Order your dinner today. Fifteen percent of all meal proceeds will be donated by Coco Bolos to the School’s Retention Scholarship Fund to support students who are struggling to finish their degree because of the economic impact of COVID-19.

The online order form provides additional opportunities to support students. With a $30 donation, you’ll receive 16 ounces —  four servings — of Coco Bolos' famous margarita mix and two engraved stainless steel straws — alcohol excluded. We’ll include instructions so you can mix them up at home just like they do at Coco Bolos.

Dinner will be available for pick up from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 2, in the parking lot of the Purple Masque Theatre in West Memorial Stadium at the corner of Anderson and Dennison avenues.
