Register for Winter Academic Advising Institute
Register for the annual K-State/NACADA Academic Advising Winter Institute: "Excellence in Advising Begins With You," scheduled from 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, via Zoom.
The institute will include a video farewell from Charlie Nutt to honor his service as the director of NACADA, a facilitated discussion with Jeannie Brown Leonard, vice provost for student success, focusing on excellence in advising, a life hacks panel highlighting different speakers focusing on, but not limited to how to lead engaging meetings, how to act like you have it all together and tips of ways to create understanding.
The institute will conclude with networking opportunities to connect with colleagues to learn more about and discuss military-connected students, the benefits of a NACADA membership, faculty advisors, professional advisors, distance learners, adult learners, and leveraging SSC/Navigate.
