Gilman Scholarship events Sept. 2, 9 and 18

Are you a Pell Grant-eligible student interested in studying, interning, researching or serving abroad? If so, please consider attending one of these events in the coming weeks to learn about how you can apply for funding to go abroad through the Gilman Scholarship. Whether you have never considered going abroad before or if you have already started an application for the Gilman Scholarship, we have something for you.

  • Sept. 2: Gilman Scholarship info session and alumni panel. Pell Grant-eligible students are invited to attend the Gilman information session and alumni panel at 2 p.m. via Zoom. At this information session, students will be able to learn more about this scholarship opportunity from past scholarship recipients.
  • Sept. 9: Gilman Scholarship workshop. Pell Grant-eligible students are invited to attend the Gilman Scholarship workshop at 2 p.m. via Zoom. During this workshop, students will learn more about the application process and get tips on how to make their application stand out.
  • Sept. 18: Gilman Scholarship drop-in advising. Pell Grant-eligible students applying for a Gilman Scholarship to go abroad for an upcoming term are invited to join the virtual drop-in hours between 1-3 p.m. Sept. 18. Meet with an advisor to have your scholarship essays reviewed before submitting them.
