University health requirements for new students

Submitted by Shawn Funk

myLafene Patient Portal

As a reminder, there are several university health requirements for new students planning to attend Kansas State University in the fall. In previous semesters, university health requirements needed to be completed prior to enrollment, but due to the pandemic, these health requirements must now be completed prior to arriving on campus:

  • All students attending in Salina, Manhattan and Olathe must complete the Tuberculosis Questionnaire. (Tuberculosis testing may be required.)
  • All students attending the Manhattan campus must provide proof of two (2) MMR vaccinations or a lab report confirming immunity.
  • All students residing in university housing on Manhattan and Salina campuses must provide proof of one (1) Meningococcal ACWY (MCV4, NOT Meningococcal B) at age 16 years or older.

Global Campus students are not required to meet any of these university health requirements.

Visit Lafene Health Center to complete the requirements and get more information. All of the health requirements can be completed electronically through the myLafene+ Patient Portal under "Medical Clearances."

If you have questions, please contact Lafene Health Center by logging into the Patient Portal and clicking on the "Messages" tab to send a secure message to a nurse or by calling 785-532-6544 and asking to speak to a nurse.
