'Effective Pedagogy and Student Anxiety' TLC Need to Know event

Submitted by Brian Niehoff

Karin Goldberg, assistant professor of geology; Don Kurtz, professor of sociology, anthropology, and social work; Michele Janette, professor of English; and Kodee Walls, psychologist in Counseling Services, will present the "Effective Pedagogy and Student Anxiety" workshop from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, in 1092 College of Business Building.

Student anxiety is rampant among college students and such anxiety causes static in the classroom and inhibits student learning. This workshop explores what we can do in the classroom to get our messages through, despite the static. The "Effective Pedagogy and Student Anxiety" workshop will focus on how to get through that contextual static, and effectively teach our material.
