Adulting 101: Conflict Resolution

Submitted by Megan Katt

As part of the Adulting 101 series, the WellCAT Ambassadors at Lafene Health Center will offer Conflict Resolution from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in 163 Justin Hall.

Brett Mallon, instructor in K-State's conflict resolution program will lead this workshop. His goal is for participants to walk away feeling more comfortable and confident in dealing with conflict in their personal and professional lives. Participants will learn to shift away from negative conceptions of conflict and explore what it means to befriend conflict and embrace its positive growth potentials. Participants will get a chance to experience communication-related conflicts and consider specific strategies and skills that can help resolve these types of conflicts.

Attendees are eligible to win a free T-shirt. Participants who attend six or more of the Adulting 101 workshops will be entered into a drawing for one of two free massages at Lafene Health Center or one of two gift certificates for one free one-hour lane rental — up to six people — at Axe to Grind.
