Research assistant professor candidate seminar

Submitted by Jeanette Thurston

The Food Science Institute and the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resources invites faculty, staff and students to attend a seminar by candidates for produce safety research assistant professor on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Candidates will start presenting at 10:30 a.m. in room 2024 of Throckmorton Hall.

This 12-month, non-tenure track research assistant professor position will be located at our Olathe campus but will work closely with faculty across K-State to develop a new program that is complementary and builds upon existing food science and horticulture research and extension programs.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain an innovative, nationally recognized, stakeholder-informed, and externally funded research program that directly addresses the needs of Kansas producers, especially small-scale, diversified produce and mixed crop and animal farms.
