Submitted by Max Lu

The K-State Confucius Institute's "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting" art exhibit will run through Aug. 31 at the William T. Kemper Art Gallery in the K-State Student Union.

The exhibit features about 20 pieces of artwork from four Chinese artists: Man Ma, a Chinese language teacher at the Confucius Institute and graduate student at Jilin University in China; Yichun Zhou, a well-known Chinese painter; Junli Yan, a former Chinese teacher at the University of Arizona Confucius Institute and faculty member at Shanxi Normal University; and Shuaixin Liu, a graduate student from Jilin University.

The Confucius Institute offers noncredit Chinese language and culture classes and sponsors various cultural activities to promote the understanding of the Chinese culture. This exhibit is a collaborative project between the Confucius Institute and Union Program Council.
