No Drive Book Drive is first for Kappa Delta Pi

Kappa Delta Pi Book Drive

Future teachers have organized a book drive that benefits a local elementary school, and they need your help in meeting their goal.

Education majors involved in Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education, organized the first-ever No Drive Book Drive with the goal of providing a book for each student, currently 202, at Ogden Elementary School along with providing books for their school library.

Addison Niehaus, junior in elementary education and event organizer, said the group's goal is to make contributing as easy as possible. Books can be ordered until Friday, April 13, by visiting clubs.scholastic.com and using code GVZZ3, or until April 19 using the app Venmo with user name @KSU_KDP. The group also is accepting gently used book donations as well.

"As future teachers, we are reaching out to members of the K-State family who share our commitment to education and literacy, hoping they will help us meet this ambitious goal," Niehaus said. "I have no doubt we can achieve this together."
