Provide input on your experience of nursing when returning to work

In order to continue to support new moms as they come back to work, K-State's Human Capital Services is spreading the word of a new survey by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health.
The office wants to learn how to make it easier for moms to continue nursing, even when they are back at work. The survey is being run by LTG Associates. They are looking for moms to share their stories — good and bad!
The Office on Women has an online resource called Supporting Nursing Mothers at Work: Employer Solutions. It gives businesses ideas for ways to support nursing moms at work. What is learned in this study can make that resource better, which may help other moms get the support they need.
LTG is doing one-hour confidential phone interviews with moms who went back to work after their baby's birth. They are looking for moms who breastfed their babies and were able to pump or breastfeed at work. They want to know what helped you, and what made it hard. How did you find space to pump? How did you find the time you needed? What could help other employers better support new moms? We are looking for moms in these kinds of workplaces:
- Health care
- Retail or restaurant

- Your name, phone number, your home state, and an email address — if you have one.
- The kind of workplace — health care, schools, manufacturing, or retail/restaurant — you worked in when you went back to work as a nursing mom.
The deadline to sign for the survey is Sept. 21.
