K-State to host Central Region drama therapy conference April 29-30
K-State will host the North American Drama Therapy Association's Central Region conference for the second year in a row. The conference will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29, and 9 to noon Sunday, April 30, in the Purple Masque Theatre and drama therapy classroom at West Memorial Stadium.
Students, faculty and staff interested in finding out more about drama therapy are invited to attend. Cost is $50 for students and $60 for professionals.
Current students in the K-State drama therapy program will present as well as many K-State alumni who graduated from the program and are currently working as drama therapists. Kate Digby, assistant professor of dance, will present on the Batdorf technique.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the lobby of the Purple Masque Theatre.
