State Employee Health Plan dependent audit

Submitted by Human Capital Services - Benefits

The state of Kansas is conducting a dependent audit for employees covering a dependent on their health insurance. Dependent audits are common with health insurance plans and ensure that the plan is covering dependents who are legitimate and that the employee and employer are operating within the plan's rules.

Aon Hewitt is sending letters on the behalf of the State Employee Health Plan to randomly selected participants requesting the dependent's documentation directly from employees. This is legitimate communication and if you are an employee who received correspondence from Aon Hewitt, you should provide the dependent's documentation as requested. The documents are to be sent directly to Aon Hewitt as instructed in the letter.

Per the state of Kansas, should you have questions or concerns regarding the audit, employees should email the state of Kansas directly at kdhe.benefits@ks.gov
