College Diabetes Network comes to K-State

Submitted by Rebecca Lynch

The K-State College Diabetes Network is a new organization to K-State's campus. This organization is open to any and all people affected by diabetes, whether it is Type 1, Type 2, or even if you just want to learn more about diabetes.

The next College Diabetes Network meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, in 253 Leadership Studies Building.

The K-State College Diabetes Network chapter helps students with diabetes come together as a community, explores scholarship opportunities, provides helpful resources for students with diabetes as they make the transition from high school to college, and many other great opportunities.

For its first fundraising activity, the group will participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's One Walk on April 1 in Wichita. In the fall, the group will begin to raise awareness and educating our fellow Wildcats about diabetes.

Please contact kstate@collegediabetesnetwork.org for more information or to become a member.
