Movement Challenge nearing the end

Movement Challenge participants have made it through week four and are about to complete week five. The 2015 Movement Challenge lasted four weeks, so participants have already exceeded the activity of last year.
This year, the Movement Challenge not only focuses on the actual activity participants are able to achieve, but also on individual and departmental participation. Two departmental winners will be announced: one for the largest percentage of employees participating and one for the highest average of daily activity. We have seen an increase of about 30 percent in individual participation and 50 percent of departmental participation from last year. Those are exciting numbers when we are practicing progress.
Now onto the week four results…
The average daily activity of the participants has increased from week three and the previous weeks. The Movement Challenge is all about progress, increasing participation and activity from week to week, both individually and by department. Last week's average daily activity per participant was 9,260 steps and week four increased to 9,608. Congratulations participants!
Each week the Movement Challenge features an additional weekly challenge to be active. Participants can document their activity through social media and be entered to win a fitness tracker. The week four winner was a teammate from K-State First.
The week four leaderboards are below. Please note: these calculations are based on data entered for week four of the Movement Challenge, Sept. 11-17. The final standings will be for data entered for the entire competition Aug. 21-Oct. 1.
The department with the highest weekly participation is… the Budget Office!
The department with the highest average daily activity is… K-State Olathe!
And the individual leader at this time is… Wendy Schlesener from Facilities Car Pool!
These top leaders are the same from last week. It's not too late to get a colleague from your department to participate with you and drive up your participation or activity and be on next week's leaderboard.
