The Capitol Steps bring humorous look at politics to McCain

Friday, Sept. 23, 2016

MANHATTAN —The Capitol Steps, a group of current and former congressional staffers, will put some "mock" in Democracy with "What to Expect When You're Electing" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, in McCain Auditorium at Kansas State University.

Tickets to this McCain Performance Series event are available at the McCain Auditorium box office, by calling 785-532-6428, or online at k-state.edu/mccain.

The satire troupe's members together represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience. Through their mix of song parodies and skits, they dig into the political headlines of today and show audiences just how comedic they really are.

The group has recorded more 30 albums, including its latest, "What to Expect When You're Electing." The group has been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS, and can be heard twice a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during the "Politics Takes a Holiday" radio specials.
