The Kansas State University Foundation has established the K-State Tornado Relief Fund.

K-Staters from across the country send notes of encouragement to the K-State and Manhattan communities.
UFM Community Learning Center is a drop off site for photos and other mementos that are found as a result of the June 11 tornado. A box is located in the UFM foyer at 1221 Thurston St.

A tornado touched down in Manhattan, Kansas the evening of Wednesday, June 11, and Kansas State University was one of the areas to sustain damage. Several campus buildings including Cardwell Hall, Ward Hall, Waters Hall, Weber Hall, Call Hall, the engineering complex, the Wind Erosion Laboratory and the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house were affected. Storm damage at K-State is estimated to exceed $20 million.

An EF4 classification tornado struck Manhattan Wednesday night destroying about 45 single-family residences, two mobile homes and three businesses. Many more homes and business received major and minor damage.
