Submitted by Human Capital Services, Learning and Development

Are you interested in professional development at your fingertips? The state of Kansas has a computer-based training contract with LearnSmart, a company dedicated to interactive online learning experiences.

LearnSmart has more than 1,000 on-demand courses, which are available in two bundles. An individual user license can be purchased for unlimited access for a full year from date of purchase.

The Business Bundle contains a series of courses where you will gain best practices and skills that are required for maximum production. The courses are engaging and provide quality training in areas such as communication, customer service, diversity and compliance, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, leadership, team development, workplace safety and much more.

The IT bundle contains hundreds of courses in cutting-edge topics as well as useful legacy technologies that may still be very important to your position. Training can be utilized to refresh skills or prepare for a Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco Certification. Course topics include Adobe, CIW, SQL, Security, Web Development, Intuit and much more.

The pricing information for each individual user license allows access for a full 12 months from the date of purchase. The prices are based on previous quarter sales for the state of Kansas so prices may fluctuate each quarter. Procurement cards are accepted. Prices per Kansas State University employee are good through March 31:

  • Business Bundle: $21/annual license includes unlimited access
  • IT Bundle: $44 /annual license includes unlimited access
  • Combination Bundle: $58 /annual license includes unlimited access to all courses within the Business and IT bundles.

Purchasing information, along with on-boarding and support for these licenses, is available on the Learning and Development, Human Capital Services website. If you have questions, please contact Samantha Roberts at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu or call 785-532-1920.
