Attention KPERS and KP&F members

Submitted by Human Capital Services

Are you within five years of retirement? If so, please plan to attend one of the annual KPERS Pre-Retirement Seminars. KPERS offers this free seminar in multiple locations throughout the state of Kansas each spring. You will find the dates and locations on the KPERS Pre-Retirement page.

Attendees will gain valuable information regarding:

  • Choosing a date
  • How to calculate your benefit
  • Steps in the process
  • Payment options
  • Taxes
  • Life insurance
  • Working after you retire

These seminars are intended for any KPERS or KP&F member who is within five years of retirement. You should also plan to attend if you are a Kansas Board of Regents Mandatory retirement plan, or KBOR member, who also has previous vested KPERS service for which you will draw a benefit within the next five years.

Preregistration is required by logging into your KPERS Member Account on the member Web portal. It is quick and easy to register through the member web portal.

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Pre-Retirement Seminars" on the left side.
  3. Select your locations from the list.
  4. If you provide an e-mail address, we'll send you a confirmation.

If you cannot register online, call toll-free at 1-888-275-5737 or email KPERS your name, location of meeting you would like to attend, number employees attending, including you, and daytime phone number.

Can't attend an in-person seminar? KPERS also is offering live webinars that will cover the same information. The webinars are free and will last approximately an hour. Preregistration is required.
