Dodds recognized for contributions to aquatic sciences

Walter Dodds, university distinguished professor of biology, was recognized as a fellow by the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography, or ASLO, for his contributions to the advancement of aquatic sciences.
Dodds has studied the effect of nitrogen contamination in river and stream waters and the effects stream drying and flooding have on the habitat and the species that live there. He is currently studying how rivers and streams vary worldwide.
Dodds will be recognized at the association's meeting in June 2016 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
