October is the time to make changes and review your insurance elections

Submitted by Human Capital Services - Benefits

Open enrollment, Oct. 1-31, is the time to make changes to your health plan, enroll in Flexible Savings Account, apply for HealthyKids, make your Health Savings Account contribution — if you desire to contribute more than the $600 per year minimum — and verify your coverage for 2016.

Elections and changes made during the open enrollment period Oct. 1-31 become effective Jan. 1, 2016.

The Kansas Health Care Commission has made changes to insurance plans for 2016. Please review the Health Care Booklet for 2016 to review rates and plan options.

See the Open Enrollment information on the Human Capital Services Website for more information.

The Human Capital Services Benefits team will be continually communicating during the open enrollment period. Be on the lookout for more information.
