Pin ceremony to honor 40, 50 years of service employees

Gov. Sam Brownback and the Kansas Department of Administration are honoring employees in a ceremony on Sept. 12 who, in the past fiscal year, completed either 40 or 50 years of service to the state. The ceremony will be at 3 p.m. in the first floor rotunda of the Statehouse. Honorees will receive an official service pin recognizing their longevity.

The ceremony will honor more than 100 state employees, 25 being Kansas State University employees.

Kansas State University employees with 50 years of service are Beverly K. Dunning, Larry E. Erickson, Clenton E. Owensby and John T. Pence. Kansas State University employees with 40 years of service are R.D. Ackley, Walter C. Cash, Sandra K. Chandler, Rob E. Denell, John J. Devore, Marsha L. Frey, Robert D. Homolka, Richard G. Howerton, Harvey L. Jansonius, Connie J. Kissee, Richard A. Kleiner, Dale L. Lanham, Virginia K. Mixer, Mary K. Molt, T.B. Muenzenberger, Loyd R. Stone, Gene W. Tebbutt, Deanna K. Turner, Richard D. Wege, Michael D. Wells and David L. Wetzel.

The Kansas Department of Administration invites each agency represented by an honoree to attend, take photos and publicize the honor as they wish. The governor's photographer will provide official photos of honorees with the governor, which will be available on Sept. 15.
