2015 K-State's University Support Staff Award of Excellence Winners
The Kansas State University is recognizing three university support staff professionals for excellence in job performance with the university's 2015 University Support Staff Award of Excellence.
Recipients are Megan Bozarth, administrative assistant in the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Office, in the Office and Clerical category; Susan Hazelbaker, agricultural technician in the Veterinary Health Center, in the Service and Maintenance/Skilled Crafts category; and Christy Dipman, administrative officer horticulture, forestry and recreation resources, in the Technical and Professional category.
Bozarth has an amazing ability to prioritize the many requests that she fields and helps triage the most pressing. She has transformed the way students feel when they request support from the dean's office. Her welcoming approach has significantly approved students' experience in the dean's office. She was nominated by Alison Wheatley, assistant dean/associate professor in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Hazelbaker continually demonstrates outstanding customer service by jumping on any task immediately, and making sure it gets done well. She continually thinks about how she can help make sure the Veterinary Health Center represents the best K-State. She was nominated by Robert Reves, procurement officer I in the Veterinary Health Center.
Dipman has always been willing to make changes in work priorities, organization, etc. As a planner she interfaces with the other planners to get things done. With the less organized she gently and efficiently keeps the ball rolling with reminders, deadlines, calendars, and whatever it takes. She is the foundation behind the success of many extension conferences. She was nominated by Megan Kennelly, associate professor of plant pathology.
