February 6th, 2024

Good morning, K-Staters!

We are now in Week 4 of the Spring 2024 semester, and the Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) team would like to remind you of our commitment to support your efforts in teaching, mentoring, and advising. We are excited to announce the various priorities, events, and resources that are designed to advance teaching and learning at K-State. This video explains what the TLC can do for you.

Teaching During IT Disruptions

As Interim Provost Mercer shared earlier, please check the IT Disruption news and Frequently Asked Questions for regular updates on academic continuity during IT disruptions.

Programs & Events

Our Professional Development (PD) Series will continue on Wednesdays at 12 noon via Zoom. All events are free, and no registration is required. You can find more information on our schedule on the Upcoming Events page of our website and on our social media: Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

  • On Wednesday, February 7th (tomorrow!), we will host our first Teaching CHAT of the semester, with the primary topic being mentoring junior colleagues. Feel free to bring questions for the group or to just sit back and listen!

  • On Wednesday February 14th, Tamara Bauer, Trish Gott, and Tim Steffensmeier will lead an event on community engagement and service learning. We hope to see you there!

Also, if you are interested in earning a PD Certificate or in becoming a TLC Fellow for this academic year, check out the requirements on our website.
