TLC Bi-Weekly Newsletter for Tuesday,

February 20th, 2024

Good morning, K-Staters!

We are now in Week 6 of the Spring 2024 semester, and the Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) team would like to remind you of our commitment to support your efforts in teaching, mentoring, and advising. We are excited to announce the various priorities, events, and resources that are designed to advance teaching and learning at K-State. This video explains what the TLC can do for you.

IT Disruptions

We would like to sincerely thank the departments across campus, including our IT team, led by Scott Finkeldei, for their continued hard work in restoring Mediasite and other online services!

Sarina Maneotis is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the department of Psychological Sciences at Kansas State University. She also oversees K-State’s applied Master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (MIOP) program. As a graduate student at Pennsylvania State University, she became interested in teaching and sought opportunities to develop her skills. Her work as a GTA was recognized with an Outstanding Teaching Award. Sarina took a detour to industry after completing her PhD where she gained skills in communicating psychology research to non-technical audiences. Her current role blends her love for teaching and her passion for helping students hone their own skills for translating research findings in ways that foster organizational growth and employee wellbeing. She was recently honored as K-State’s 2023 Global Campus Excellence in Online Teaching Award winner.
