Frequently Asked Questions
I am a first-semester student and have not taken my Strengths Assessment. Who do I contact to get my free access code?
You will find your CliftonStrengths access code in your KSIS account. The directions to access the code is on the Take the Assessment page. Once you find your access code, copy your code and paste it in Gallup's website to take the assessment. If you do not see an access code, you can make a code request.
How long is my strengths access code valid?
K-State students who receive a free access code have one year to register their code and complete the assessment. If you do not take the assessment within your first year, you will have to make a code request.
I took CliftonStrengths and identified my top five strengths, but I am not involved in any of the campus organizations or classes on campus to learn more about my strengths. Where do I go?You can schedule a one-on-one peer coaching session to talk about your strengths in action by filling out this request form.
I took the CliftonStrengths assessment as a freshman but cannot remember my results, how do I find them again?
There are two ways. First, you can log in to your KSIS account where your code use to be and your top 5 should be listed there. If not, you can log in to Gallup's website which is where you would've taken the assessment. (note: You will probably have to recall an old username and/or password).
What do I do when I have technical trouble while taking the assessment?
The assessment is done through Gallup and not through Kansas State University, so unfortunately the K-State Strengths Team cannot help when there are technical problems while taking the assessment. The best people to contact is Gallup directly for support – contact Gallup. You can also call the helpline at 1-888-561-5270. You can contact the Strengths team to see if we have encountered the error before and can be of assistance.
Who can I visit with on campus if I want to incorporate strengths within my student organization, department, or classroom?
I took the CliftonStrengths assessment my freshman year, but I believe my strengths have changed. Where can I go to take the assessment again?
Retaking the assessment is discouraged, as Gallup research has shown that your first assessment is the most accurate. Because of this and wanting to make Strengths available to all students for free, your CliftonStrengths access code is only valid to use once. If you wish to purchase an additional code, that can be done through Gallup's Website.
