K-State proudly hosted the 2025 Student Strengths Leadership Summit and is excited to join the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) as this year’s host.
Student Strengths Leadership Summit
Designed by students, for students
The Student Strengths Leadership Summit is a one-day, strengths-based leadership experience for students who want to better understand how to lead using their CliftonStrengths in real, everyday contexts.
Open to students of all majors and levels of involvement, the summit focuses on practical ways to apply strengths in classes, student organizations, campus jobs and future careers.
This event will take place Friday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cather Dining Hall in Lincoln, Nebraska . K-State will be offering free transportation to UNL for students who sign up.
The registration deadline is Friday, April 3.
What to expect
Participants will take part in interactive, student-led sessions focused on reflection, discussion, and real-world application of strengths-based leadership.
During the summit, you will:
- Explore ways to increase student well-being and engagement.
- Apply your strengths in student organizations and campus leadership.
- Practice coaching peers to develop their strengths.
- Learn how to leverage your strengths for internships, careers, and life after graduation.
- Build a strengths-based peer network and share real-world examples of strengths in action.
- Exchange ideas for fostering strengths-based leadership on college campuses.
What you’ll gain:
- Stronger leadership skills, including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, resilience, and perspective-taking.
- Practical tools and strategies you can immediately apply in classes, organizations, and professional settings.
- Greater confidence in identifying and articulating your strengths in resumes, interviews, and career conversations.
Participants will leave the summit with new connections, actionable strategies, and the confidence to use their strengths to support both personal well-being and leadership success.
