8-hour DOT Awareness Workshop
K-State's Environmental Health & Safety Department is hosting (3) free 8-hour Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) & Resource & Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) Large Quantity Generator (LQG) Regulations & Awareness Training Workshop on October 16, 17, & 18, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
This is a great opportunity to gain familiarity with security requirements, pre-transportation/movement functions, and HAZMAT training requirements.
Topics covered include Waste Reduction, Contingency Planning and Emergency Response, Hazardous Waste Manifest & Land Ban Restrictions, DOT Shipping Requirements Workshop, Accumulating & Storing Hazardous Waste, Identifying a Hazardous Waste, and several others.
