The Office of Emergency Management leads the university in emergency prevention, response and recovery efforts.

K-State Alerts
K-State Alerts is the university's emergency notification system. Campus authorities can communicate emergency information quickly to registered users via text, calls, email, social media, public address systems and more. K-State students, faculty and staff are automatically enrolled in K-State Alerts email and text messages.
K-State Safe
K-State Safe is the official mobile safety app for Kansas State University with a direct connection to K-State Police. K-State Safe features include:
- One-click emergency dial to 9-1-1
- "Virtual Walkhome" send your location in real-time to K-State Police
- Two-way text with K-State Police
- Call directory with campus resources
- Campus alerts and updates based on your location
