Degree Verification

Conferral and Additional Verification

Degree conferral only occurs three times each year, after the conclusion of the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. The conferral date is the date that will be posted on the official transcript and the diploma. This is the date when the degree is considered officially awarded. A degree is a credential. There are four ways to provide evidence of that credential:

The documents referenced above are available only to students who have completed all degree requirements and whose degrees have been officially conferred.

Please note: Degrees are not posted to a student’s academic record until the official conferral date for the term in which the degree is awarded. Even if all degree requirements are completed before this date, the degree will not be conferred early.

Students who complete their requirements ahead of the official conferral date may request a Formal Letter of Completion from the Office of the Registrar. This letter will confirm that all degree requirements have been met and that degree conferral is pending. The degree will still be awarded for the academic term in which the requirements were fulfilled.
