The Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center is excited to offer drop-in Exploratory Advising hours. Students can conveniently enter through the North side of the building (closest to the union) and check-in at the Career Center desk to connect with one of our new Peer Advisors. We’re here to support you every step of the way!

Thinking about changing your major into Exploratory Studies? Your first step is to talk with your current academic advisor. Your advisor can provide valuable information to aid in your decision.
Next, email the Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center at ppac@k-state.edu from your K-State student email account.
In your email, include the following:

- Changing From the Following Major:
- Changing to: Exploratory Studies
- If you have a pre-professions designation (i.e., pre-health, pre-law, pre-dentistry, etc...), do you want to keep it, change it, or drop it?
Are you ready to transition out of Exploratory Studies and into a new major? Your first step is talk with your current Exploratory Studies Advisor. Your advisor can provide valuable information to aid in your decision.
Please submit this survey about your Transition out of Exploratory Studies.
Next, determine which College owns the new major (you can review the Degrees & Certificates Offered page in the Catalog for assistance).

Your request must be sent from your official K-State student email. You will receive a confirmation email from the Dean's Office.
- Run a "What If?" DARS report to find out how many credit hours you would need to complete if you changed your major.
- Meet with an advisor for your new major to create a long-range academic plan and learn more about your potential graduation timeline
- Are you wondering how changing your major will affect your financial aid? Consider visiting the Office of Student Financial Assistance for information about options to fund your education.
- Plan out how you want to get experience in your career field of choice. Meet with a peer Career Specialist to search and apply for part-time jobs, full-time jobs, and internships through your Handshake account.
- Consider additional ways to gain experience outside of work, including clubs and organizations, undergraduate research, education abroad, volunteering, and more.
