- Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence (S-I-R) Program - A unique Fulbright Scholar Program initiative that is specifically driven by the goals of U.S. institutions of higher education to enhance internationalization efforts on their campuses. S-I-R applicant institutions may and are encouraged to propose topics in the full range of academic fields to suit their institution’s internationalization needs.

- Australian-American Fulbright Commission Kansas State University is proud to be the first U.S. educational institutional partner of the Australian-American Fulbright Commission. An agreement gives two Australian researchers the opportunity to undertake cutting-edge research at Kansas State University every year. Forging new connections between Australia and the U.S. is the program's goal. These scholars will build and develop partnerships and friendships through mutual understanding and education and cultural exchanges.

- K-State hosts a Distinguished Chair in Agriculture and Life Sciences each year and is awarded to an eminent Australian scholar. This opportunity is for an internationally renowned researcher in the area of agriculture or life sciences.
- K-State hosts a Australian Fulbright Senior Scholar each year and the awardee may work with faculty in any academic discipline found at Kansas State University. Some of the eligible disciplines are agriculture, architecture, engineering, the arts and humanities, the sciences and veterinary medicine.
- Oz to Oz: Building connections between Australia and Kansas
As programs between Australian universities and Kansas State University grow, a network of faculty is essential to their long-term success. Kansas State University will have to expand its contacts in Australia.
