Set your goals in motion with the help of campus resources

Getting involved on campus is one way to make the most of your K-State experience. With more than 400 student organizations, there's something for everyone!

The start of a new year and a fresh spring semester can inspire many students to set goals to maximize their college experience. Whether they want to meet new people, take control of their finances, prioritize health and well-being or pursue academic success, K-State offers on-campus resources designed to support student goals and set the stage for a successful semester.

Get involved on campus

OrgCentral is K-State's one-stop student involvement website, allowing students to explore more than 400 organizations and discover upcoming events through a dedicated student event calendar. The website also houses CatTrax: an online checklist designed to help students discover fun and easy ways to experience K-State.

Develop strong financial foundations

Powercat Financials' peer counselors help students understand their finances in low-pressure settings, breaking down topics like budgeting, credit and paying for school. The office offers large-group workshops, small-group presentations and individualized support through one-on-one counseling sessions — providing everything from helpful tips to personalized budget spreadsheets.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, is still open for the 2026-27 academic year. All domestic students are encouraged to submit the FAFSA each year they are enrolled at K-State. Questions can be directed to Student Financial Assistance or Wildcat One Stop.

Build a support network

The Student Access Center is a trusted campus resource for students who need academic or housing accommodations due to a temporary or permanent disability. The center collaborates with students and campus partners, including faculty and housing staff, to ensure that learning and living environments meet students' needs and support their ability to thrive in both classroom and campus settings.

Exploratory advisors guide students through the process of declaring or changing a major. The Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center in the Berney Family Welcome Center can help students learn about major and career options, plan their academic careers, reflect on their future goals, and navigate the official process of changing or declaring a major.

The Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs, or DASSA, helps provide a meaningful K-State experience by aligning student life resources with academic support programs, giving students the tools to succeed in and out of the classroom.
