Parking permit and policy updates in effect for Manhattan campus
Several new rules and updated policies are in place for student, faculty and staff parking on the Manhattan campus.
The daily parking permit for the K-State Parking Garage is no longer available, but weekly and monthly permits remain an option. Reserved and preferred stalls are also available for purchase.
The garage now operates with a cashless payment system to reduce wait times and provide a more secure experience. Courtesy pay stations in the stairwells will only accept debit or credit cards.
Residence hall students with an annual permit may add rooftop garage access for $100. Only 250 rooftop stalls are available to ensure consistent access for those who purchase this option. To buy the additional access, contact Parking Services during regular business hours at 785-532-7275.
Students with a residence hall permit may now park in the "J" stalls at Jardine Apartments, except on game days when public parking moves to satellite lots. Restricted and reserved Y lots remain unavailable on game days. Free parking is available in the garage on game days, with a complimentary shuttle to Bill Snyder Family Stadium departing from the K-State Student Union two hours before kickoff.
Motorcycle riders can now attach their annual permit directly to their motorcycle without purchasing a separate one. However, if a motorcycle is the only vehicle or if it is parked on campus at the same time as another registered vehicle, a motorcycle permit is required. A permit is also required for motorcycles without a valid physical license plate.
The appeal policy for parking citations has been updated and can be viewed on the Tickets and Enforcement webpage.
Students, faculty and staff may purchase permits through the K-State Parking Portal. For more information, visit the Parking Services website.
