Hai Tao Huang has performed with the Chicago Philharmonia and the Goodman Theatre. He has participated in the Philadelphia Orchestra Institute for Brass Studies under David Bilger. He has studied with William Campbell (currently at the University of Michigan) and Gary Mortensen (currently at Baylor University). He played with the Guangzhou Philharmonic and for many years in orchestras and commercially in China.

Mr. Huang has taught music theory at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he also taught trumpet lessons, supervised honors projects, coached band members, and served as a departmental liaison in arranging exchanges with the Nanjing University of the Arts.
