Our objective is to foster a collaborative environment where students, faculty, staff, and industry leaders can come together and share their knowledge, experiences and resources. Through inter-disciplinary collaboration we gain inspiration and new techniques to invigorate our classrooms and research. The Kansas State University Spectrum Center in Student Belonging and Inclusion with the K-State oSTEM Chapter are working to create an engaging and enlightening conference that brings together our diverse community and disciplines from across the mid-States. With a variety of sessions scheduled throughout the conference, we are also providing opportunities to experience the research environment at K-State. From opportunities to tour and learn about our nuclear reactor and Nuclear Engineering programs, grain science and industry research facilities, and laboratory experiences at the Konza Biological Station we are creating a dynamic interactive experience.

We strive to bring together our LGBTQ+ community and explore ways that our educational and research passions in STEM includes all voices. This two day opportunity offers presentations from LGBTQ+ people studying and working in STEM, research opportunities, LGBTQ+ and/or STEM journeys, and the experiences that have shaped their passion. The event will be held at Kansas State University and research facilities for STEM related industry. This event is designed for everyone, regardless of whether you have a STEM background or identify as LGBTQ+. We welcome everyone who wants to learn more about a diverse range of subjects and/or how people who identify as LGBTQ+ experience the world of STEM.
