K-State Strengths
K-State Strengths, engagement, and well-being
K-State Students can take the CliftonStrengths for Students assessment for free to identify their top five strengths. Through strengths recognition, students develop confidence and learn how to leverage their top five strengths toward personal and academic success.
Our Mission
Be a catalyst for students to develop their unique talents in pursuit of being their best selves.
Our aim is to increase student engagement and well-being across campus so students can thrive. We envision a community where all students move from strengths identification to strengths development as they navigate their K-State experience and beyond.
Communication
- Students complete the CliftonStrengths for Students Assessment in order to become confident in identifying and developing their top five strengths. Students utilize strengths as a common language to learn about self and others by communicating their natural talents and appreciating differences.
Critical thinking and problem solving
- Students examine multiple pathways in leveraging strengths to overcome obstacles toward goal attainment. Students are intentional, creative, curious, and find novel ways to maximize strengths to thrive throughout their K-State experience and beyond.
Team work and collaboration
- Through utilization of the four domains of leadership teams, students explore how their strengths compliment the strengths of others. Students recognize the importance of developing collaborative and diverse partnerships to increase engagement and well-being.
