Language Placement

The language placement questionnaire will assists students and advisors in selecting the most appropriate course(s) based on language background.

Once the form is completed, students should take a screenshot of their results and share it with their advisor for enrollment, and explore our courses. For any questions regarding the results, please contact mlangadvising@ksu.edu.

Please note:
  • Students placing into a higher level and successfully completing the course with a "C" or better, are eligible for FREE retroactive credit for the preceding course in the language sequence (1 through 4), on a "take one class/ receive credit for one class" basis, thus completing the language course sequence quicker, allowing them to fulfill the K-State Core #6 Arts & Humanities or #7 - Free Electives.
  • Students with no previous language experience should enroll in the 101 section of the language.
