SAFE Zone presents professional development workshop Sept. 12
Student Belonging and Inclusion with Intercultural Learning and Academic Success will present the SAFE Zone Introductory Professional Development Workshop at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in the Oneok Room in the Morris Family Multicultural Student Center. Please spread the word to others about this important workshop for students, faculty and staff.
Please register online for the SAFE Zone Introductory Professional Development Workshop.
The 90-minute workshop provides information about the K-State SAFE Zone program, allyship and important resources at K-State.
As a program of K-State, SAFE Zone envisions academic and social environments where students, faculty and staff possess a sense of belonging and experience conditions in which they thrive.
SAFE Zone acknowledges the intersectionality of human diversity by educating and fostering respect for multifaceted personal identities — e.g., sexuality, gender identity, class, religion, ability status, national origin, culture, creed and others. The SAFE Zone team mobilizes campuswide and community resources to assure physical, emotional, and mental safety measures and practices.
