Submitted by Office of the Provost

The search committee would like to announce three finalists who will interview for the K-State Olathe chief executive officer position and invites you to attend the virtual open forums presented by each candidate.

  • Benjamin Wolfe, associate dean of the School of Professional Studies at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus, will interview on Jan. 24. The virtual open forum will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Brian Pappas, associate provost and associate vice president for faculty affairs and academic personnel at Eastern Michigan University, will interview on Jan. 25. The virtual open forum will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Rodney Ellis, former chancellor of Southern University at Shreveport, will interview on Jan. 26. The virtual open forum will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

K-Staters are encouraged to participate in each virtual open forum and Q&A session titled "A strategic vision for growing academic/industry/government partnerships at K-State Olathe: leveraging opportunities in the KC metropolitan area." Search Committee Chair Alysia Starkey will moderate each virtual open forum. Questions for candidates may be submitted in advance via email to Starkey at astarkey@k-state.edu or asked live during each virtual open forum using the chat feature.

The virtual open forums may be accessed through the Office of the Provost search website at k-state.edu/provost/about/searches. For those unable to participate live, the virtual open forums will be archived on the provost's search website. Application materials, itinerary and an online feedback survey for each candidate are also available on that website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. Each feedback survey will close at 5 p.m. two days following each candidate's interview and the presentation will be removed from the website at that time.

Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee. Please provide feedback no later than Friday, Jan. 28.
