K-State concludes COVID-19 vaccination incentive program for faculty, staff

The COVID-19 vaccination incentive program for Kansas State University faculty and staff has ended with recent grand prize drawings.

Throughout the 11-week campaign, K-State faculty and staff could win prizes — including Apple Watches, Apple MacBook Pros, K-State Union gift cards and more — by getting the COVID-19 vaccination.

Every Monday from Sept. 13 through Nov. 22, the university drew names of faculty or staff members who met the following requirements:

• Had been fully vaccinated or have completed their first dose of a two-dose series with the second dose scheduled.
• Had filled out the vaccination incentive program survey.

The 11th weekly drawing occurred on Monday, Nov. 22. The full list of prizes and the winners' units included:

• $50 K-State Student Union gift cards went to employees in Housing and Dining Services; the College of Arts and Sciences; the College of Architecture, Planning & Design; the Staley School of Leadership Studies; and K-State Libraries.
• Apple Watches went to employees in the College of Health and Human Sciences; Lafene Health Center; the College of Agriculture; the College of Veterinary Medicine; and the K-State Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus.
• Apple MacBook Pros went to employees in the Office of International Programs; the Office of the Vice President for Research; and the College of Agriculture.

COVID-19 vaccines are available through Lafene Health Center and other providers at no cost. Faculty and staff members should review the potential side effects and other safety risks associated with receiving a COVID-19 vaccine published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and/or consult with their medical provider when deciding whether to be vaccinated.
