Kansas State University faculty and staff can win prizes by getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

Get vaccinated

Vaccinations are available by appointment at Lafene Health Center. To schedule an appointment, log in to your myLafene+ patient portal and click on Appointments.

Qualify for prizes

K-State will hold weekly prize drawings for fully vaccinated faculty and staff. Any current faculty or staff member who is fully vaccinated should fill out the vaccination incentive program survey to be eligible for prizes. The university is not able to use data from Lafene Health Center for these drawings. Faculty and staff members only need to fill out the survey once to be eligible for all weeks of prize drawings.

Weekly prize drawings

Every Monday from Sept. 13 through Nov. 22, the university will draw names of faculty or staff members who meet the following requirements:

Weekly winners will be notified by K-State email and have seven days to claim their prizes.

The following prizes will be available each week.

Sept. 13 drawing

  • 9 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 1 winner will receive an Apple Watch.

Sept. 20 drawing

  • 9 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 1 winner will receive an Apple Watch.

Sept. 27 drawing

  • 8 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 1 winner will receive an Apple Watch.
  • 1 winner will receive a 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro.

Oct. 4 drawing

  • 9 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 1 winner will receive an Apple Watch.

Oct. 11 drawing

  • 9 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 1 winner will receive an Apple Watch.

Oct. 18 drawing

  • 9 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 1 winner will receive an Apple Watch.

Oct. 25 drawing

  • 8 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 1 winner will receive an Apple Watch.
  • 1 winner will receive a 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro.

Nov. 1 drawing

  • 9 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.

Nov. 8 drawing

Nov. 15 drawing

  • 9 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.

  • 5 winners will receive a holiday ham.
  • 5 winners will receive a holiday turkey.

Nov. 22 drawing

  • 8 winners will receive K-State Student Union $50 gift cards.
  • 3 winners will receive an Apple Watch.
  • 3 winners will receive a 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro.

Eligibility and other notes

  • Faculty and staff members must be either fully vaccinated or have received their first dose by the day prior to the drawing and have their second dose scheduled.
  • Faculty and staff members must fill out the vaccination incentive program survey to be eligible for prizes.
  • Faculty and staff members awarded a weekly prize are not eligible for additional weekly prizes.
  • Prizes will be subject to state or federal income tax. The value of a prize, depending on the amount or fair market value, will be reported on the employee’s W-2 form.
  • Prizes are not transferable.
  • Prizes may be subject to certain date restrictions.
  • No purchase necessary.
  • COVID-19 vaccines are available through Lafene Health Center and other providers at no cost.
  • Faculty and staff members should review the potential side effects and other safety risks associated with receiving a COVID-19 vaccine published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and/or consult with their medical provider when deciding whether to be vaccinated.
  • Information regarding vaccine status is voluntarily disclosed via a secure Qualtrics survey, and the information collected will be viewable only to limited university officials with a need-to-know for purposes of conducting the incentive program. The information collected will not be made part of any Human Capital Services or other departmental personnel file. There is no university requirement for any individual to disclose their vaccination status.
