The President's Committee on Religion, Spirituality and Nonreligious Diversity presents the weekly global observance information for the week beginning Monday, Oct. 11-17. 

Oct. 12 Freethought Day — Freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and humanists' celebration of free-thinking and the importance of reason and evidence in decision-making 

Oct. 15 Dasara — Hindu celebration of victory and valor. Lord Rama is remembered as winning a victory over evil kind Ravana. 

The president's committee welcomes those of all global faith, spiritual and nonreligious worldview commitments.
