Use Rave Guardian mobile safety app to connect with K-State police

Submitted by K-State Police Department

Kansas State University is partnering with the Rave Guardian mobile app. The former safety app Live Safe is no longer being used or monitored by the university. Please check to see if you still have Live Safe and uninstall it from your mobile device.

The Guardian app fully integrates with the K-State Alerts, the university's emergency notification system, and aids in emergency and safety communications.

Rave Guardian app features include:

  • One-click emergency dial to 9-1-1.
  • "Safe Walk" virtual campus safety escort: Set a virtual safety timer and share with friends and family, or an Official Guardian. Includes the option to give helpful information such as where you are going and stops you may make.
  • Two-way text communication with campus police: Share information and safety concerns with K-State police via chat with the option to stay anonymous.
  • Call directory with campus resources: Place a direct call to campus resources and support services with the option to share your location with safety officials during the call.
  • Campus alerts and updates: Receive alerts based on your location, even when you don't have a cell signal.

The Guardian app is free for all current K-Staters. Download it on iTunes or Google Play. Search for "Rave Guardian" with the blue shield icon.
