APDesign students to present in international technology, education and development conference

Students from the College of Architecture, Planning & Design, department of interior architecture & industrial design, were selected to present their design research findings at the International Technology, Education and Development Conference, INTED2020, March 2-4 in Valencia, Spain. The papers will be published after the conference in the conference proceedings. 

INTED is one of the largest international education conferences for lecturers, researchers, technologists and professionals from the educational sector. Now in it's 14th year, it has become a reference event where more than 750 experts from 80 countries will gather together and present their projects and share their knowledge on teaching and learning methodologies and innovations on educational technology.

Vibhavari Jani, associate professor for interior architecture, led the class that focused on topics related to 21st Century Teaching and Learning. All of the students enrolled in the class were selected to present at the INTED conference.

Jani's paper "Introducing Diverse Pedagogical Approaches To Teach Design Research" was also selected for this conference.

Students presenting on behalf of K-State APDesign include:

Minjung Nam, South Korea; Kanoa San Miguel, Longmont, Colorado; and Lu Bai, China. Paper title: "The Importance Of Ergonomics And Anthropometrics In The High School Learning Environments."

Kamille Barragree, Wichita; and Blake Ellis, Frisco, Texas. Paper title: "The Impact Of Technology In The 21st Century Learning Environments."

Abigail Dick, Mexico, Missouri; Karsen Odle, Beloit; and Isabelle Stieg, Littleton, Colorado. Paper title: "Importance Of Lighting And Color In 21st Century Learning Environments."

Morgan Allen, Manhattan; Teresa Fortino, Overland Park; and Samantha Specht, Lee's Summit, Missouri. Paper title: "The Importance Of Music, Acoustic, And Visual Privacy In The 21st Century Teaching And Learning Environment."

Joseph Hornung, Cimarron; Madison Armbruster, Payola; and Annie Wilkerson, Festus, Missouri. Paper title: "Designing For Collaborative Learning In High Schools."

Haley Hartman, Overland Park; Hannah Milks, Liberty, Missouri; Taylor Schalles, Manhattan; Paper title: "Trauma Informed Design For 21st Century High Schools."
