Turnitin.com presentation offered April 23

Submitted by Camilla Roberts

During the 2017-2018 academic year, the Honor and Integrity System staff met with members of the Undergraduate Programs Council to explain some options with Turnitin.com as a potential option for Kansas State University. K-State and one other institution in the Big 12 were the only schools who do not have a universitywide plagiarism detection software license.

Many faculty and students on campus have shown interest in continuing the conversation about potentially integrating this software into the current Canvas software. A presentation about Turnitin.com will be at noon Tuesday, April 23, in 119 Bluemont Hall. The presentation also will be available via Zoom

Turnitin.com is one of the prominent plagiarism detection software companies. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to this presentation by a representative from Turnitin.com to discuss some of the key things that the software offers — much more than just the plagiarism detection — and ways that K-State might be able to use the software.

Please pass along this information to your colleagues and attend if at all possible. Email questions on the day of the presentation or prior to cjroberts@k-state.edu
